Water, Sanitation & Hygiene

Joel Ssenyonyi Foundation promotes proper water & sanitation in communities, access to safe drinking water and appropriate sanitation in communities promotes good health both in rural and urban communities in Uganda.

Poor sanitation and hygiene, as well as lack of access to safe drinking water, makes thousands of community members vulnerable to health hazards such as cholera outbreaks, dysentery, and typhoid among others.

We also support sanitation and hygiene in our communities by donating sanitary towels to school-going children and women.

This initiative helps promote menstrual hygiene, dignity and the wellbeing of women and girls, while ensuring that young people can stay in school and participate fully in community life.
